[Article updated with winners highlighted in bold]

Every year, I hand out my own BAFTA’S and Oscars because I do not have the cost of the red carpet, expensive reception, statuettes etc to bear. I simply type out a blog and 2017 is no different.

My awards are handed out before the official awards so I can yell at the screen and join the Twitter dissent. This year, I am team La La Land so I have a high dose of nonchalance because I believe that he will clean up. Two years ago he was robbed as Whiplash in my not so humble opinion was a much more superior film to most that won. Ironically, it is a much better film than La La Land but I think the awards God’s have a lot of making up to do to Damien Chazelle, so it does not really matter.

So as we wait to see if Moonlight will walk away with the award for Original Screenplay, when it is an adaptation, here are the nominees, my choices and my guess as to who they will really go for.
